Kudrinka ( Russian Кудринка , German  Backeln ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Kudrinka is located two kilometers southwest of Kaschtanowka (Mollehnen) and can be reached via a spur road from the Russian trunk road A 191 (former German Reichsstrasse 128 ). The oblast capital Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) is 15 kilometers away, and the district town Zelenogradsk (Cranz) is eleven kilometers. The nearest train station is Kaschtanowka and is on the Kaliningrad – Zelenogradsk – Pionersky railway line (Königsberg – Cranz – Neukuhren) .

history

In 1910, 90 inhabitants lived in the small manor village, which was called Backeln until 1946 . Originally belonging to the district of Schugsten (today in Russian: Berjosowka) in the Fischhausen district, the place was reclassified to the district of Rudau (today in Russian: Melnikowo) on September 30, 1928 , when Backeln lost its independence and was incorporated into the municipality of Rudau. Until 1939, Backeln belonged to the district of Fischhausen, then until 1945 it was incorporated into the district of Samland in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1945 Backeln came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was named Kudrinka and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Melnikowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . Later the place came into the Muromski selski Sowet . From 2005 to 2015 Kudrinka belonged to the rural municipality of Kovrovskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

The almost exclusively Protestant population of Backeln before 1945 was parish in the parish of Laptau (today Russian: Muromskoje) and was in the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
