Schatrowo ( Russian Шатрово , German Weidehnen , Lithuanian Vaidėnai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It is located in Zelenogradsk Raion and belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Zelenogradsk District .
Geographical location
Schatrowo is located 29 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on a side road that leads from Otradnoje (Georgenswalde) on the Baltic Sea coast in a southerly direction via Kljukwennoje (Klycken) to the main road Kumatschowo (Kumehnen) - Kruglowo (Polennen) . A side road from Russkoje (Germau) joins the town . The route of the Primorskoje Kolzo (coastal motorway ring), which is under construction, runs north of the village . There is no train connection.
history
The Year of until 1946 Weidehnen mentioned village is in 1381. Between 1874 and 1930, the site was in the District Cherry Appen incorporated that the district Fischhausen in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1910 160 inhabitants were registered here.
On September 30, 1928, the rural communities Weidehnen and Woydiethen (Russian: Listowoje) and the Kirschappen (Druschba) manor district merged to form the new rural community Weidehnen.
In 1930 the Kirschappen district was dissolved and renamed the Weidehnen district. He joined the Samland district in 1939 , to which he belonged until 1945. The population was already 328 in 1933 and rose to 356 by 1939.
As a result of the war, Weidehnen came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 and was given the Russian name "Shatrowo" in 1947. At the same time the place became the seat of a village soviet in Primorsk Raion . The seat of the village council was later moved to Grachevka . From 2005 to 2015 Shatrovo belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
Weidehnen district (1930–1945)
On May 18, 1930, Weidehnen became the eponymous place for the administrative district, which was formed after the previous administrative district of Kirschappen (now Russian: Druzhba) was dissolved. Two places were assigned to this district: Klein Dirschkeim (today Russian: Dworiki) and Weidehnen. Both places were still part of the Weidehnen district on January 1, 1945.
Schatrowski selski Sowet / okrug 1947 (–2005)
The village soviet Shatrowski selski Sowet (ru. Шатровский сельский Совет) was established in June 1947 in Primorsk Raion . Its administrative seat was initially the place Shatrowo. Before 1968 the administrative headquarters were moved to Grachovka . After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district Shatrowski selski okrug (ru. Шатровский сельский округ). In 2000 at the latest, the name of the village district was adapted to its administrative seat to Grachovsky selski okrug (ru. Грачёвский сельский округ). In 2005, the remaining places in the village district were incorporated into the newly formed rural community Krasnotorowskoje selskoje posselenije .

church
Before 1945 there was almost exclusively a Protestant population in Weidehnen . It was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Thierenberg (Russian: Dunajewka, no longer exists today), which belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Shatrovo is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
