Vodnoje ( Russian Водное , German  Syndau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Vodnoje is located 27 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in western Samland on the municipal road 27K-333 from Gratschowka (Craam) to Olchowoje (Korwingen) . There is no train connection.

history

Already in 1331 and 1946 was the Syndau called Gutsdorf established that from 1874 to the district of St. Lawrence (Russian Today: Salskoje) in the district Fischhausen (1939 to 1945 County Samland ) in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. As a result of the war, Syndau came to the Soviet Union in the middle of northern East Prussia in 1945 . The place was given the Russian name Vodnoye in 1950 and was assigned to the village soviet Shatrowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion at the same time . From 2005 to 2015 Vodnoye belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
