Vodnoje ( Russian Водное , German Syndau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .
Geographical location
Vodnoje is located 27 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in western Samland on the municipal road 27K-333 from Gratschowka (Craam) to Olchowoje (Korwingen) . There is no train connection.
history
Already in 1331 and 1946 was the Syndau called Gutsdorf established that from 1874 to the district of St. Lawrence (Russian Today: Salskoje) in the district Fischhausen (1939 to 1945 County Samland ) in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1910 there were 53 residents here.
On September 30, 1928, the manor districts of Syndau, Korwingen (today in Russian: Olchowoje), Lopsienen (Rogatschowo) and Mossycken (also in Russian: Rogatschowo, but no longer exists today) merged to form a new rural community of Syndau. It had 237 inhabitants in 1933 and 252 in 1939.
As a result of the war, Syndau came to the Soviet Union in the middle of northern East Prussia in 1945 . The place was given the Russian name Vodnoye in 1950 and was assigned to the village soviet Shatrowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion at the same time . From 2005 to 2015 Vodnoye belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

Syndau with its predominantly Protestant inhabitants was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Sankt Lorenz (today Russian: Salskoje), which belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Vodnoye is in the catchment area of the newly formed Evangelical Lutheran Resurrection Church parish in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
