Woloschino ( Russian Волошино , German Brasnicken ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .
Geographical location
Voloschino is 14 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on the regional road 27A-032 (former German Reichsstrasse 143 ), which leads from Kaliningrad via Cholmogorowka (Fuchsberg) and Pereslavskoje (Drugehnen) in the direction of Swetlogorsk (Rauschen) . There is no train connection.
history
The former Gutsdorf, known as Brasnicken until 1946 , was incorporated into the newly created district of Groß Mischen (today Russian: Swobodnoje) in 1874. He belonged to the district of Fischhausen (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 Brasnicken had 66 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, Brasnicken lost its independence and was incorporated into Rosignaiten (today Russian: Otkossowo).
Towards the end of the Second World War , the Red Army occupied the region in the spring of 1945 . Soon afterwards Brasnicken came to the Soviet Union along with the northern half of East Prussia . The place was given the Russian name Voloschino in 1950 and was assigned to the village soviet Pereslavski selski soviet in Primorsk Raion at the same time . From 2005 to 2015 Voloshino belonged to the rural municipality of Pereslavskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

The majority Protestant population of Brasnickens was parish in the parish of the church in Wargen (today Russian: Kotelnikowo ) before 1945 . It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Voloschino is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church European Russia -
