Obuchowo ( Russian Обухово , German  Lixeiden ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Obuchowo is located 29 kilometers northwest of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and can be reached via the Alexandrowka (Posselau) settlement on the municipal road 27K-159 from Pionerski (Neukuhren) to Svetlogorsk-Juschny (Alexwangen) . The southern border of the village is the newly built Primorskoje Kolzo (coastal motorway ring). Until 1945 the place then called Lixeiden was a train station on the Samland Railway .

history

The former Lixeiden was founded in 1405 and consisted of a few large farms before 1945. In 1874, the rural community in the newly built was District Neukuhren that the district Fischhausen , 1939-1945 for the district Samland in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1910 Lixeiden had 45 inhabitants.

On October 17, 1928, Lixeiden merged with the neighboring communities of Schlakalken (Russian: Jaroslawskoje, no longer existent today) and Tenkieten (Ljotnoje) to form the new rural community of Schlakalken.

As a result of the war, Lixeiden came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Obuchowo and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Romanowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . From 2005 to 2015 Obuchowo belonged to the rural municipality of Kovrovskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

Lixeiden was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Sankt Lorenz (today Russian: Salskoje) because of its majority Protestant population . It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
