Rogatschowo ( Russian Рогачёво , German  Lopsienen and Mossycken ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Rogatschowo is 26 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on the municipal road 27K-228, the Gorkowskoje (Watzum) on the regional road 27A-013 (ex A192 ) with Dubrowka (Regehnen) and Listopadowka (Bärholz) and the submerged town of Thierenberg (Russian : Dunayewka) connects. In town, the municipal road 27K-229 branches off in a southerly direction to a military airfield.

Lopsienen and Mossycken were ,, the two goods since 1874 for the district of St. Lawrence in the district Fischhausen belonged. In 1910 the Lopsienen manor had 62 inhabitants and the Mossycken 32 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928 Lopsienen and Mossycken were combined with the manor districts Korwingen and Syndau to form the rural community of Syndau.

As a result of the war, Lopsienen and Mossycken came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1950, the two places were combined under the Russian name Rogachovo, which was also assigned to the village soviet Romanowski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . From 2005 to 2015 Rogachovo belonged to the rural municipality of Kovrovskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.

The majority of the population of Lopsienen in Mossycken was Protestant before 1945 and was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Sankt Lorenz (today in Russian: Salskoje). It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Rogatschowo is in the catchment area of ​​the newly established Evangelical Lutheran Resurrection Church parish in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
