Swetlowo ( Russian Светлово ) is a small living space in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast in Zelenogradsky District , is a rural settlement to the urban district Selenogradsk .
Geographical location
Svetlowo is 28 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and five kilometers southeast of Svetlogorsk (Rauschen) in the west of an impassable side road that leads from Salskoye (Sankt Lorenz) to Kalinowo (Tolklauken) . There is no train connection.
history
Before 1945, Svetlowo was a residential area that was referred to as belonging to St. Lawrence (today in Russian: Salskoje). In 1950 it got its current Russian name. At the same time the place was classified in the village soviet Romanowski selski sovet in Primorsk Raion . From 2005 to 2015 Svetlovo belonged to the rural municipality of Kovrovskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
