Wolnoje ( Russian Вольное , German  Schulstein ) is a place in the Kaliningrad Oblast . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Volnoye is located 23 kilometers north of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and five kilometers southeast of Zelenogradsk (Cranz) . The place can be reached via the feeder of the Primorskoje Kolzo (coastal motorway ring) to Zelenogradsk. There is no rail connection.

history

The Gutsdorf, called Schulstein until 1946, was connected in its history with Bledau (today Russian: Sosnowka), to which it belonged as a district.
