Krasnowka ( Russian Красновка , German  Markehnen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District .

Geographical location

Krasnowka is located 27 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on a side road that connects Olchowoje (Korwingen) with the submerged locality Thierenberg (Russian: Dunajewka) near Listopadowka (Bärholz) . There is no train connection.

history

The later Vorwerk , called Markehnen until 1946 , was founded in 1346.

From 2005 to 2015 Krasnovka belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
