The container ship type KWC 360 from the Rendsburger Kröger shipyard has so far been built in a series of at least 17 units.

The KWC 360 series from the Kröger shipyard in Rendsburg was built between 1995 and 1998 for various German and foreign shipping companies. The Romanian shipyard Navol SA from Oltenita built part of the hulls. In 2005/06 four replicas of the type came from the Chinese shipyard Weihai Shipyard . The design goes back to the feeder ships Sybille and Johanne built by Kröger in the early 1990s and measured with 999 gross register tons .
The ships are designed as multi-purpose dry cargo ships with a deckhouse far aft. They are mainly used in container feeder transport. The container capacity is 366 TEU, with homogeneously loaded 14 ton containers it is still 220 TEU. The ships have a single box-shaped hold , the specialty of which is the lack of hatch coaming . The reinforced upper coaming, which normally forms the upper end of the hatch coaming, is embedded directly in the main deck of the KWC 366 and is therefore an important part of the upper belt deck. Three of the ships, the former Henny , Betsy and Heike , were later sold to an Italian shipping company, which had them converted into multi-purpose freighters by installing additional hatch coaming and removing the container facilities in the hold such as the Cellguides .
One characteristic of the type is the container recess protruding outwards on both sides in the bow area (it allows two TEU more space on deck), another is the aft extension of the waterline area at the transom .
The ships are powered by a four-stroke diesel engine from MAN B&W or Caterpillar-MaK with an output of around 3900 kW. The engine drives a shaft generator and the controllable pitch propeller and enables a speed of 15 knots. There are also two auxiliary diesels and an emergency diesel generator available. The berthing and casting off maneuvers are supported by a bow thruster .
