Kacho

Kachō ( Japanese 嘉祥 , also Kajō) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from July 848 to May 851 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Jōwa , the following era is called Ninju . The era falls during the reign of the emperors ( Tennō ) Nimmyō and Montoku .

The first day of the Kacho era corresponds to July 16, 848, the last day was May 31, 851. The Kacho era lasted four years or 1050 days.
