Kadesh-Barnea
Coordinates: 30 ° 38 ′ 54 ″ N , 34 ° 25 ′ 20 ″ O Kadesh-Barnea ( Hebrew קדש ברנע) was astation on the desert migration mentionedin the Old Testament , which was eight kilometers west of today's Israeli border in northern Sinai . Kadesch-Barnea, one of the most important camp sites of the desert migration, is identified by research with the region of today's En el-Quderat . The place is in the district ( markaz ) El-Quseme of the governorate Shimal Sina (North Sinai).
