Kadir Memiş

Kadir "Amigo" Memis   (born October 23, 1974 in Danişment near Bilecik , Turkey ) is a Berlin dancer and choreographer.

Memis' parents came to Germany as immigrants in the 1960s. Memis was born in the village of Danişment in Turkey. When he was 10 years old, his parents brought him to Berlin. Amigo describes himself as an urban nomad and collector. Inspired by gestures, lines, movements, smells, colors, noises and the lights of the big city and its surroundings, he creates his choreographies and dance calligraphies. He works on projects in Germany and Turkey.
