Kaffkönig is a German-speaking rock band from Bad Saulgau and Eppelheim in Germany, which is under contract with the music label Starwatch Entertainment .
history
Kaffkönig was founded in 2016 by Julian Seßler, Marcel Melucci and Florian F. Hennefarth. The band performs as a classic duo with Seßler and Melucci, but Hennefarth writes the music and all the lyrics together with the two main actors and also shoots the group's music videos . In 2017 the band released their debut album Das große Kotzen, which was produced by Kurt Ebelhäuser .
style
Musically, the band is rooted in German rock music. However, she also makes use of style elements from punk and indie music. The band's sound is striking: even though there are only two people on stage, Kaffkönig sounds like a "complete" band. Julian Seßler implements this using a MIDI setup of his amplifier specially developed for the band , through which the singer and guitarist of the band can not only play guitar but also bass lines at the same time . The band's often very direct lyrics deal with interpersonal and social issues.
