Kafr Hamrah ( Arabic كفر حمرة, DMG Kafr Ḥamra ) is a town in northern Syria in the Aleppo governorate . The name came from the red color of the earth there. In the 2004 census, the place had 10,696 inhabitants. At that time there was a very beautiful building structure in the village, although several rich families lived in the village at that time. The villas that were built there were luxury Roman-style houses. At that time the families worked in the real estate industry. Several companies and industries were also active on site. When the Syrian Revolution occurred, several directions fought for them to own the village. The place was meanwhile occupied by IS . In 2013, government rockets hit here. In December 2015, Russian planes attacked the site, killing 22 civilians.
