The Kahlenge Forest Park (spelling variant: Katilenge Forest Park ) is a forest area in the West African state of Gambia .

topography

The 324 hectare forest area is located in the West Coast region in the Kombo East district and was set up like the other forest parks in Gambia on January 1, 1954. The approximately 1700 meter wide approximately 2300 meter long area is located on the southern side of the South Bank Road , Gambia's main highway, about 25 kilometers east of the city of Brikama . The Bama Kuno Forest Park is on the other side of the street . The border with Senegal forms the southern border of the forest area.

In addition to numerous species of birds , monkeys , hyenas and leopards can be found here.
