Kai Hesse (born June 20, 1985 in Wickede ) is a German football player .
Career
Hesse began his career with SF Oestrich-Iserlohn and BSV Menden . In 2000 he switched to the youth team at FC Schalke 04 . In 2002 he became German champions with the B youth team at FC Schalke 04. In the 2004/05 season he was part of the professional squad, but did not appear in the Bundesliga. In 2005 he moved to VfB Lübeck and from there to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2006 . On August 19, 2007, he played his first professional appearance in the game Borussia Mönchengladbach against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
On August 27, 2008 he moved to the second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In his first year there he came on 21 missions, but rarely lasted the full season. Also in the first half of the 2009/10 season he was only a substitute for the final third and was ultimately no longer set up. Therefore, he moved to third division Kickers Offenbach during the winter break , for whom he then made his debut on January 31, 2010 in the game against VfL Osnabrück under coach Steffen Menze . Overall, Hesse came in his first season for Offenbach on 15 missions in which he scored three goals.
At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, Hesse moved to the regional division FC 08 Homburg . With the club, he was relegated to the league in 2017 and was promoted again a year later. Shortly after the start of the 2018/19 season, he moved to SC Hessen Dreieich within the Regionalliga Südwest .
