Kakata is a city in Liberia with 33,945 inhabitants (2008 census), making it one of the largest cities in the country. It is the capital of the Margibi County administrative region . The Borlola River Bridge is about 15 kilometers away . The city is located on the Central Liberian main road Monrovia –Kakakta– Ganta not far from the border with Montserrado County .

The Booker T. Washington Institute BWI, located in Kakata, is privately owned and has existed since the 1950s. Over 5000 young people are taught there, making it the largest vocational school in the country. The BWI has an excellent reputation, but despite high fees, it cannot cope with the inquiries.

The Watara Sackor Hospital is in Kakata .
