Margibi County is an administrative region ( county ) in Liberia , it has an area of ​​2616 km² and had 209,923 inhabitants at the last census (2008).

The administrative region is divided into four districts. The capital is Kakata in the district of the same name.

Margibi is located on the Atlantic coast and borders the capital Monrovia in the west .

politics

In the 2005 first Democratic Senate election after the Civil War, Clarice Alpha Jah was elected by the LP and Roland Cooper Kaine by the CDC .

Infrastructure

About 15 kilometers east of the provincial capital Kakata is the Borlola River Bridge , built in the 1985s , over which an economically important road leads towards Gibi Mountain .

The Duside Hospital , about 10 kilometers southeast of the city Careysburg , is the most modern hospital in Liberia.
