River Cess County (also called Rivercess or Rivercress ) is an administrative region ( county ) in Liberia , it has a size of 5 594  km² and had 71,509 inhabitants at the last census (2008).

The administrative region is divided into eight districts. The capital is Cestos City , also known as River Cess , in the Central River Cess District.

The County River Cess lies on the Atlantic coast with the striking Cape Cestos .

In the 2005 first Democratic Senate election after the Civil War, Jay Jonathan Banney was elected by the UP and George Dee Moore by the LP .
