The Headland Peak is a 875 m high mountain on the north coast of South Georgia . It rises on the north flank of the Geikie Glacier at the head of Cumberland West Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain after Robert Keith Headland (* 1944), who from 1977 to 1980 and from 1981 to 1982 as an assistant biologist for the British Antarctic Survey in Grytviken and from 1987 as curator of the Scott Polar Research Institute worked .
