Kalanchoe neglecta is a species of the genus Kalanchoe in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).

Vegetative characteristics
Kalanchoe neglecta is a perennial , completely bald plant that can reach heights of up to 100 centimeters. The simple shoots are stalk-round, the leaves are petiolate. The petiole , which does not encompass the stem, is furrowed on the top and 2 to 8 centimeters long. The green, egg-shaped, deeply heart-shaped or shield-shaped leaf blade is flat to cup-shaped. It is 3.5 to 13 inches long and 3 to 9 inches wide. At the base it is truncated or edged and bilobed. The leaf margin is whole or slightly cupped.
Generative characteristics
The inflorescence are flat-headed, many-flowered, even thyrses . The calyx is green, the narrow lanceolate, triangular calyx tips are 1.5 to 3 millimeters long. The corolla is yellow to orange in color. The almost cylindrical corolla tube is 6 to 8 millimeters long. Their narrowly lanceolate, sharply pointed corolla lobes are 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters long and 1.5 to 3.5 millimeters wide. The anthers are 0.6 to 0.8 millimeters long. The linear nectar scales , gradually tapering towards the tip, have a length of 1.6 to 2.5 millimeters.
The seeds reach a length of about 1 millimeter.
Systematics and distribution
Kalanchoe neglecta is widespread in the northeast of the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal on coastal plains with sandy soils.
