Life, training and work

Fladerer received his artistic training from 1930 to 1932 at the graphic teaching and research institute in Vienna . From 1932 to 1940 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Hans Larwin and Christian Ludwig Martin , where he met Johanna Dorn , whom he married in 1942 while on leave from the front . He did military service in the Wehrmacht from 1940 to 1945 in Russia and on the Arctic Front .

From 1946 he worked as a freelance artist in Kneiding near Münzkirchen and together with his wife he joined the Innviertel artists' guild.

Fladerer's early works show the influence of Switbert Lobisser , later also of Alfred Kubin . The central artistic medium was the woodcut.

In 1952 his son Thomas was born. In 1965 the family moved to Wernstein am Inn . From 1975 the first signs of his serious illness were visible, of which he died in 1981.
