Johanna Dorn-Fladerer

Johanna Dorn , also Johanna Dorn-Fladerer , (born December 22, 1913 in Suben , † November 28, 1988 in Schärding ) was an Austrian painter .

Life, training and work

She grew up in Suben and attended the community school in Schärding . From 1932 to 1936 she graduated from the Ursuline Teacher Training College in Salzburg , then studied for a year at the Graphic Training and Research Institute in Vienna and then until 1942 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Hans Larwin , Carl Fahringer and Christian Ludwig Martin . She also received suggestions from Herbert Boeckl . It was there that she met Herbert Fladerer in 1939 , and the two married in 1942 while on leave from the front . After the war they moved to Kneiding near Münzkirchen and finally in 1965 to Wernstein am Inn . In 1952 their son Thomas was born. In the 1970s she traveled to Venice, Chioggia, Jesolo and Istria, in the 1980s to Rome, Assisi, Florence, Ravenna, Riva, Hamburg, Prague, Yugoslavia, Nice and Cagnes sur mer. Johanna Dorn is the sister of Alois Dorn and Conrad Dorn .

Exhibitions were devoted to her works and a. in Stift Reichersberg , in the gallery of the Hypo-Bank in Linz , in the Landeskulturzentrum Ursulinenhof , in the district museum Herzogsburg in Braunau am Inn and in the castle museum Linz
