Jürgen Elingius

Jürgen Elingius (born March 17, 1912 in Hamburg ; † 2006 ) was a German architect .

Life

Born the son of the architect Erich Elingius , he studied at the Technical University of Dresden from 1931 to 1934 and continued his studies from 1935 to 1938 at the Technical University of Stuttgart with Paul Bonatz . After an internship at the Hamburg Building Department, he served as a soldier in World War II from 1939 to 1945. In 1946 he joined the architectural office Schramm & Elingius , which his father ran together with Gottfried Schramm . After his father's death in 1948, he continued the office with Schramm. In 1956 Jost Schramm and Harald Peters also joined the community. After the architectural community was dissolved, Elingius continued his work with Günter Niggemann from 1965 to 1970 and with Dieter Iseler and Hubert Marady from 1972 to 1978. In 1983 he ended his career.

Jürgen Elingius was buried in the Nienstedten cemetery.
