Kalawy Bay is a bay in the Red Sea in the governorate of al-Bahr al-ahmar in Egypt . It is located 32 kilometers south of Safaga .

Jetty to the reef

The bay is not connected to the sea at low tide . There are some smaller reefs a short distance from the beach . The beach surrounding the bay, Kalawy Beach, was the subject of marine biological studies between 1992 and 2003, and the bay itself in 2011 .

Bank development

A building complex of one of four planned hotels with the associated infrastructure extends over an area of ​​around 46 hectares on the bank .
