The Kambalny ( Russian Камбальный ) is a 2,156 m high stratovolcano in Kamchatka in the Russian Far East .
The Kambalny is the southernmost large stratovolcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula . By 2017, the only proven outbreak had taken place in the 14th century . On March 24, 2017, the volcano erupted again and ash eruptions have occurred almost every day since then. The ash clouds reached a height of up to seven kilometers. Mainly ashes and little larger material were emitted.
