Kanachos from Sicyon
Kanachos was a Greek sculptor from Sicyon , brother of Aristocles from Sicyon , who was probably born in the late 6th century BC. Lived.
Among other things, he created a wooden image of Apollo in Thebes and an ore image of Apollo for the Branchids in Miletus . Images of this statue on Milesian coins have come down to us. The statue is said to have brought Xerxes I to Ekbatana after his victory over the Greeks . For Sikyon Kanachos supplied a seated Aphrodite made of gold and ivory and also created various statues of honor for winners in competitions.
