action

After the orphaned middle school student Nakamachi Kana also loses her grandmother, she is suddenly all alone and leaves her former home. She happens to pass the Fushin Shinbun ( 風 新 新聞 ) newsagents , run by confident bishōjos and where a job is advertised. Shocked by the first impression, she tries to find a job elsewhere, but her attempts fail for various reasons; for example because she is too young or because she has no guardian who could vouch for her. Already prepared to have to spend the night outdoors, she is suddenly hit by Yume, who has just finished delivering the newspapers. She regains consciousness in the newsagents and decides to take the job so as not to have to go hungry, although she is suspicious of the other girls, some of whom are driven by sexual desires. The story goes on to describe her new life in a not entirely normal workplace.
