Kandinsky is an alternative rock band from Dachau in Upper Bavaria, founded in 2011 .

history

The band Kandinsky was founded in mid-2011 by Ben Meyer and Michi Gässl, who had previously composed songs together. A short time later, before the first appearance, the third musician Chris Langer (guitar) joined the band. After a series of first purely acoustic concerts, the last member completed the band with the arrival of Marcel Vieregg. Then the band decided to focus their musical direction more on rock.

In 2012 followed a first series of 10 concerts and with Revolution their first EP. The following year, the band took part in the global band contest Emergenza and traveled to Berlin as the Bavarian regional winner for the Germany finals. There she took 4th place, already with her new drummer Patrick Kerling.

Interviews with regional and national daily newspapers and on the radio followed. On July 29, 2014, their debut album, Lost Conversations, was released.

In 2014 the band Kandinsky had concerts as well as a headliner appearance at Rock am See and was also represented at the Sammersee Festival.

In June 2016 Kandinsky played as the opening act for the band Madsen at the Dachau Music Summer. In 2017 Kandinsky performed at the Live Festival in Oświęcim, Poland, together with Shaggy and the Scorpions.
