Kanga Gauthier Akalé (born March 7, 1981 in Abidjan ) is a former Ivorian football player .

society

Akalé began his professional career in 1997 at the Stella Club d'Adjamé in his hometown of Abidjan before being signed by the Swiss first division club FC Sion in late 1998 . Without a National League A appearance, Akalé moved to FC Zurich in the summer of 1999 . Until the summer of 2001 he was only a supplementary player; However, he was able to assert himself more and more and came up to his move to AJ Auxerre at the turn of the year 2002/03 in the National League A to a total of 67 missions and was able to achieve eight goals. Akalé was also a regular at Auxerre.

In June 2007 he moved to RC Lens for four million euros . National team

Akalé has been a member of the national team of his home country since 2002 and has been a regular since 2005. He played in five of six games in the 2006 African Cup of Nations , including the lost final, and in all three of his home team's games at the 2006 World Cup . In total, he played 35 times for Ivory Coast and scored three goals.
