Kanpyō
Kanpyō ( Japanese 寛 平 , also Kampyō) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from May 889 to May 898 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Ninna , the following era is called Shōtai . The era falls during the reign of the emperors ( Tennō ) Uda and Daigo .
The first day of the Kanpyō era corresponds to May 30, 889, the last day was May 19, 898. The Kanpyō era lasted ten years or 3277 days.

- 889 Kanpyō poets' competition ( utaawase ) in the palace of Tennō ( 寛 平 御 時 后宮 歌 合 )
- 892 Completion of the historical work Ruijū Kokushi ( 類 聚 国史 ) by Sugawara no Michizane
- 893 attackers from the Korean city of Silla attack the provinces of Hizen and Higo
