The women's 1,500-meter run at the European Athletics Championships in 1994 was held on August 12 and 14, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .

The Russian middle distance athletes won two gold and bronze medals in this competition. Lyudmila Rogatschowa was European champion third in 1991 and Olympic second in 1992 . The British Kelly Holmes won the silver medal. Bronze went to Ekaterina Podkopajewa .
