The canton of Marburg was an administrative unit in the Marburg district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia from 1807 to 1814 . The seat of the cantonal administration was Marburg of the same name . The canton comprised five villages and hamlets and the city of Marburg. It had 7,841 residents and an area of 0.6 square miles .
