Cape Barrow is a sheer cliff at the northern end of Hoseason Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of West Antarctic Graham Land .

The cape is first roughly recorded on maps by the British cartographer Richard Holmes Laurie (1766-1858) from 1828, based on the discoveries made during the voyage of the British sealer Sprightley in these waters (1824-1825). The British explorer Henry Foster named the cape during his Antarctic voyage with the HMS Chanticleer (1828-1831) after John Barrow (1764-1848), founder of the Royal Geographical Society . A better mapping than before took place during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under Jean-Baptiste Charcot .
