Cape Cheetham is an icy cape on the Oates coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located on the northeastern edge of the Stuhlinger-Piedmont Glacier .
Participants in the Antarctic expedition of the same name (1910–1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott mapped the cape for the first time. Its position was determined more precisely in 1962 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . It is named after Alfred Cheetham (1867–1918), who participated several times in Scott and Ernest Shackleton 's Antarctic expeditions .
