Cape Folger is an icy cape on the Budd Coast in Wilkesland, East Antarctica . It forms the east side of the entrance to Vincennes Bay .
The location of the cape coincides with the western end of the coastline registered in 1840 in the maps of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–1842) under Charles Wilkes as Budds's High Land . The cape was mapped using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Cape in 1955 after Commander Edward Clinton Folger Jr. (1907-1987), head of the astronomical control stations in the southwest of Vincennes Bay in Operation Windmill (1947-1948).
