Cape Keltie is an icy cape on the Clarie coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located 18 km west of Cape Cesney .
The crew of the research vessel Aurora discovered the cape during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . Mawson named it after John Scott Keltie (1840–1927), Secretary of the Royal Geographical Society from 1892 to 1915. The correct geographical position was determined by the American cartographer Gardner Dean Blodgett (* 1925) in 1955 using aerial photographs of Operation Highjump ( 1946-1947).
