Cape Kolossow ( Russian Мыс Колосов Mys Kolossow ) is a cape on the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It lies on the west side of an icy peninsula , which forms the east side of the entrance to Amundsen Bay .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 were used for mapping purposes. Soviet scientists re-mapped the cape in 1958 and named the cape after Vladimir Kolossov, an aircraft navigator who was killed in the Arctic .
