The Roman Catholic chapel Herz Jesu and Herz Mariä is located in the Penzberg district of Schönmühl in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau on the banks of the Loisach . The listed church belongs to the Benediktbeuern parish community of the Benediktbeuern deanery in the diocese of Augsburg .
The chapel was built in the 18th or 19th century by the owner of the neighboring mill. In 1985 the family who owned it at the time gave it to the parish of Benediktbeuern, and from then on the four farmers from Rain took care of the building and extensively renovated it. The chapel was officially consecrated in 1992 . In 2017 the onion hood of the turret was renewed and slightly enlarged.
