The Roman Catholic chaplain church Heiligkreuz is located in Heiligkreuz in the municipality of Sölden in Tyrol . The Kaplaneikirche Kreuzauffindung belongs to the deanery of Silz in the diocese of Innsbruck . The church is a listed building .

history

The chaplain church, which stands between Zwieselstein and Vent in the Venter Valley high above the Venter Ache gorge , was built in 1804 and restored in 1976.

Church exterior

The church is surrounded by a cemetery. The tower ground floor is the sacristy, the tower itself stands at the head of the choir and has flat-arched acoustic windows and an eight-sided transition to the onion helmet. The gable facade has a volute gable over a continuous main cornice.

A slightly drawn-in arched choir  adjoins the three-bay nave . The nave and choir are vaulted with flat barrels with stitch caps. The triumphal arch is flat arched. Ludwig Sturm painted the vault painting in 1936.

Furnishing

The furnishings date from the first quarter of the 19th century. On the high altar is a crucifix from 1710. The antependium relief of the body of Christ is from the first quarter of the 19th century. The right side altar with the picture of the Holy Family shows Joseph in the workshop with Mary and Jesus, painted by Leopold Puellacher (1820) and bears the figures of Joachim and Anna and shows the flight to Egypt in the antependium relief . The pulpit from the first quarter of the 19th century shows reliefs of Christ and the Samaritan woman, the apostle vocation and Christ and the apostles.
