The Karasura Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Карасура lednik Karassura ) is a 7.2 km long and 2.7 km wide glacier in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It is located on the northeast side of the Bastien Range in the Ellsworth Mountains , flows from the northern slopes of Bergison Peak and the eastern slopes of Patmos Peak in a northerly direction and flows into the south-flowing Nimitz Glacier .
American scientists mapped it in 1961 and 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the late Roman station Karasura in the south of what is now Bulgaria .
