The Kardzhali Point (English; Bulgarian нос Кърджали nos Kardschali ) is a rocky headland on the northwest coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Svishtov Cove it forms the southern boundary of the entrance to Ograzhden Cove and is 0.68 km south of Essex Point , 1.23 km east-northeast of Isbul Point and 1.98 km east-northeast of Start Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Spanish in 1992, and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after the town of Kardzhali in southern Bulgaria .
