The Isbul Point (English; Bulgarian нос Исбул nos Isbul ) is a narrow and 600 m long headland on the northwest coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Svishtov Cove it forms the eastern boundary of the entrance to Belene Cove and is 0.75 km east-northeast of Start Point , 1.46 km southwest of Essex Point and 1.23 km west-southwest of Kardzhali Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Spanish in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission on Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after Kawkhan Isbul , military leader, diplomat and Bulgarian regent in the 9th century .
