Karel Hába
Karel Hába (born May 21, 1898 in Vizovice , † November 21, 1972 in Prague ) was a Czech composer.
Alois Hába's brother studied at the Prague Conservatory with Karel Hoffmann and Vítězslav Novák . From 1917 to 1927 he taught music at the teacher training college. From 1929 he worked with the Prague Radio Orchestra, from 1936 to 1950 he was music consultant. From 1951 he was professor of methodology of music education at the Prague Pedagogical University.
He composed four operas , two symphonies , orchestral suites, a violin and a cello concerto, chamber music works, choirs and songs . he also published a violin school in the quarter tone system.
