Václav Čtvrtek
Václav Čtvrtek (born April 4, 1911 in Prague ; † November 6, 1976 there ; actually Václav Cafourek ) was a Czech writer.
After graduating from high school, Čtvrtek briefly studied at Charles University in Prague . From 1949 to 1959 he was an editor at the Czech Radio , most recently as head of the science and technology department for young people. From 1960 he lived as a freelance writer. He became known with works for children and adolescents, author of song texts, puppet shows and fairy tales for television, especially for the children's program Večerníček .
The fairy tale Vom Raholezer Räuber Rumzais and his son Zipfelchen (1973) in a record version recorded by Valtr Taub achieved particular fame in Germany .
