The good robber Fürchtenix ( O loupežníku Rumcajsovi in Czech ) is a Czechoslovak cartoon series from 1967 to 1974.

Fürchtenix (Rumcajs) lived as a shoemaker in his workshop at Valdice Gate in the small town of Jičín . One day when he quarreled with the mayor about making his shoes, he drove him out of town. So he moved to the Raholec forest near the city as a robber and lived there with his wife Manka and their son Spurtefix (Cipísek) between the deep forests of the Giant Mountains foothills and the volcanic mountains of the Bohemian Paradise .
Other figures in it are “Mayor Humpál”, “ Nixe Andulka” and “Wassermann Erlmännchen”.
Production and publication
The series was designed by the Czech prose writer , playwright and storyteller Václav Čtvrtek . The graphic design was the responsibility of the painter , graphic artist and animation director Radek Pilař . Directed by Ladislav Čapek . Production ran from 1967 to 1974 and comprised a total of 52 episodes. Of these, the first 39 belonged to "Der brave Räuber Fürchtenix" and the remaining 13 to "Der Räubersohn Spurtefix" (from 1972). Karel Höger acted as the speaker of the original version , the German texts were spoken by Hans-Robert Wille.
The cartoon series was initially broadcast in Czechoslovakia , Poland and the GDR . In the Federal Republic of Germany the series was first broadcast on May 17, 1971 by the first TV program of the ARD .
radio play
The stories of Fürchtenix and Spurtefix were also published as a radio play on two Supraphon records in 1978 and 1980 . The speaker here was Valter Taub .
