Karel Loprais
Karel Loprais (born March 4, 1949 in Ostrava ) is a Czech rally driver and six-time winner of the Dakar Rally in the truck category.
Loprais worked as a test driver at Tatra . He started a total of 17 times in the Paris-Dakar Rally and at the wheel of the Tatras won the first six times (1988, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999 and 2001), four times the second (1987, 1996, 2000 and 2002) and once the third place (1992).
Loprais is married and has two sons. His nephew Aleš Loprais is also a successful rally driver.
