Hans Stacey (born March 9, 1958 in Eindhoven ) is a Dutch rally and rally raid driver from Best . His nickname is "Racey Stacey".

Stacey took part in the Dutch Rally Championship for years and was Dutch rally champion in 1991 and 1992 on a Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. In 1997 he won the Dutch International Rally Championship on a Ford Escort RS Cosworth and in 2001 on a Subaru Impreza WRC.

Hans Stacey also started sporadically in races for the World Rally Championship . He finished second in Group N at the 1995 Rally of Catalonia . In 1999 he achieved class victory at the Rally Great Britain . He also won around 50 times in Group N and Group A in races for the European Rally Championship .

Stacey has been taking part in the Dakar Rally since 2004 . He started out with a DAF and a year later with a MAN in the truck class. At the 2007 Dakar Rally , Stacey achieved overall victory for the first time. In doing so, he followed in the footsteps of his uncle Jan de Rooy , who exactly 20 years earlier was the last Dutchman to win the truck category of the Dakar Rally in 1987.

A year later, Stacey wanted to defend this success with his new MAN TGS, but the 2008 Dakar Rally was canceled due to the risk of terrorism. In the same year he won the Central Europe Rally , the replacement event for the Dakar Rally, and the Trans-Siberian Rally . At the 2009 Dakar Rally he dropped out on the sixth stage.
