Karel Petrus Cornelius de Bazel (born February 14, 1869 in Den Helder , Netherlands ; † November 28, 1923 in Amsterdam , Netherlands) was a Dutch architect .

De Bazel designed country houses, office buildings and apartment blocks in Amsterdam , Bussum and The Hague , including the synagogue in Enschede and the office building of the Dutch trading company and today's ABN AMRO Bank on the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam, popularly known as de Bazel , which as his most important work is seen. In addition, Rembrandt's former home, which now houses the Museum Het Rembrandthuis , was renovated under his direction until it was opened in 1911.

De Bazel was influenced by theosophy in his life and work . He joined the Theosophical Society in 1894 and became a member of the Theosophical Society Adyar in 1895 . He was also involved in applied sculpture ( design ) and glass art and was one of the founders of the glass factory in Leerdam .
